The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time.

Posted by Scott Mahan on November 19, 2007 in Apple, iPhone, iPod |

I’ve been trying to give Apple my money all weekend and all I keep getting is an error that says “The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time.  Credit card processesing is temporarily unavailable.  You may continue to browse the store.  Please try to make your purchase later.”Well, I’ve been trying for […]

Posted by Scott Mahan on November 9, 2007 in iPhone, iPod |

While iTunes is not seeing the update yet, it is available as a direct download. Of course, I’m at work right now and can’t install it yet, but here is what I’ve read on the blogospehere so far: Tiff Exploit Patched Additional International Keyboards Some users report faster response times on their iPhones iPod Touch […]

iToner updated to support iPhone 1.1.1

Posted by Scott Mahan on October 18, 2007 in iPhone |

Ambrosia Software has updated iToner to v1.0.3.  The new version is now compatible with iPhone firmware v1.1.1.  I downloaded the updated software and it works flawlessly. I’ve got to say that custom ringtones was the feature I missed the most after I updated to iPhone firmware v.1.1.1.  Kudos to Abrosia Software.  The $15 cost of […]

Ranting about iPhone firmware v1.1.1

Posted by Scott Mahan on October 8, 2007 in iPhone |

So, many of us updated our iPhone’s firmware to v1.1.1. A few of us (thank God, not me), bricked our iPhones. And then there are those that stayed on 1.0.2. I’ve got to say that I do appreciate some of Apple’s enhancements. The double-press of the home button is a time saver. As is double-space […]

AppTap (installer.app) breaks with iPhone firmware 1.1.1

Posted by Scott Mahan on September 27, 2007 in iPhone |

This was also anticipated. Updating your iPhone with the latest firmware performs a restore and wipes out installer.app and any non-Apple applications. I’m sure this too will be corrected in a day or two. There is one thing that I’m curious about. Are all these non-Apple applications and ringtones still taking up space on our […]

iPhone Firmware 1.1.1 breaks iToner

Posted by Scott Mahan on September 27, 2007 in iPhone |

As expected, Apple has closed up an exploit that Ambrosia Software was was taking advantage of in iToner to copy over ringtones. There are reports that old ringtones will still work if you don’t try launching iToner, but I cannot confirm that. Ambrosia Software is aware of the problem and are actively working on a […]

Letter to iPhone Owners from Steve Jobs – I’ll give you $100

Posted by Scott Mahan on September 6, 2007 in Apple |

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs writes in this letter on Apple’s website: “…we need to do a better job taking care of our early iPhone customers as we aggressively go after new ones with a lower price. Our early customers trusted us, and we must live up to that trust with our actions in moments like […]

How to get your $200 credit for your iPhone

Posted by Scott Mahan on September 6, 2007 in Apple |

With all the buzz surrounding the $200 price drop and existing iPhone owners (include me in that list), feeling they deserved some sort of compensation, I decided to try a couple of different avenues that I’ve heard were successful for others. First, I called AT&T customer care and was kindly told that they would only […]

To Steve Jobs: $200 just cost you over $2,500

Posted by Scott Mahan on September 6, 2007 in Apple |

Yesterday’s $200 price drop of the Apple iPhone only 2 months after its release is an insult to Apple loyal customers. Many of us stood in line for countless hours to buy the 8GB iPhone for $599. Many of us also went through the pains of activating our iPhones with AT&T for periods as long […]
