Get Regigigas in March at Toys “R” Us

Posted by Scott Mahan on Feb 27, 2009 in Gaming, Nintendo

regigigasEarlier this month, my daughters and I went to Toys “R” Us to download the special Shaymin distribution to our Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games.  On March 8th, we’ll make the trip again to get the limited edition Regigigas.  What’s so special about it?

Here’s Regigigas’ Information:
Level: 100
Poké Ball: Cherish Ball
Held Item: Custap Berry
Moves: Iron Head, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Crush Grip

What’s most important is what it will do when you transfer it to Pokémon Platinum, due out in the U.S. on March 22nd.  If you have this Regigigas in your party at certain times, you may be able to find and capture the 3 Legendary Pokémon of the Regi Trio: Regirock, Regice, Registeel.

Changing my Twitter Handle

Posted by Scott Mahan on Aug 20, 2008 in Gaming, General

I’ve decided to change my Twitter handle from ScottMahan to Raskull. I’ve used Raskull (previously Rascal, but too many people started using it as well) as my online gaming handle since the late 80’s and recently decided to start using it on Twitter. If you’re already following me, it won’t affect you. You’ll just see my new handle in your stream.

We’ve seen this Pokémon Diamond & Pearl beauty released in Japan almost two years ago.  Rumors now have it coming to GameStop in North America.  For $129.99 you get the Limited Edition DS Lite, a T-Shirt, 22 minute Pokémon Dungeon DVD, Grovyle Poster, and matching case.  I already own 2 DS Lites (Limited Edition Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and a standard Onyx) but this one is REALLY tempting.

iPhone Games: The Good, Bad and the Ugly

Posted by Scott Mahan on Jul 31, 2008 in iPhone

… or what has to change to make the iPhone/iPod Touch a viable platform.

Dasme wrote an interestering article over on Nukoda.com about gaming on the iPhone.  Here’s an excerpt:

I like many of you out there with a brand new iPhone 2.0 have been in love with the App Store. I’ve downloaded my fair share of both free and paid games, and have been amazed at the quality of the launch software. Like all things however, it hasn’t been a perfect experience.

I’ve collected my thoughts and gripes into one long post that I’m hoping iPhone/iPod Touch game developers will see and take to heart. While it’s likely that this won’t be seen by many, I want to speak my peace mainly so I can stop all my bitching to friends. Below you’ll find my three top gripes, and my solutions that would make iPhone/iPod Touch gaming a wonderful experience to be had by all… in a perfect world at least.
