iPhone 3G stays in landscape when starting my car
I can’t be the only one having this problem. Here’s the scenario. I listen to my iPhone 3G in my car via a dock that is attached to a cigarette lighter adapter. If I leave it in the car, as soon as I re-start the car, it goes into landscape mode and won’t come out no matter how I twirl it. I am forced to shut-down and restart the iPhone 3G (out of the dock).
If you’ve experienced this problem, let me know. I’m going to go check the discussion forums at Apple and see if this is common or even a known bug.
EDIT: Nothing on this over at the Apple Forums. I’m going to try and recreate this scenario at home with a standard charger and dock. Check back tomorrow for an update.
Upgraded and ready to blog
I finally upgraded my WordPress blog (mostly so I could use the new WordPress iPhone application). Whew, that was painfull. I lost all my categories and had to do some fun MySQL work. Now that I can update to blog from my iPhone, it is time to start blogging again. Right after I find a […]
Enough with the SPAM
The only feedback that I’ve been getting is from spammers. I’m going to have to install some kind of comment spam filter soon. Stay tuned for info regarding how TechGeekBlog will soon relaunch.
Short Hiatus
This blog is a labor of love. But right now I need to concentrate on the type of labor that pays the bills. I’m going to put it on hold for a month or two while I investigate the possibility of taking this blogging thing to the next level. If you have any ideas on […]

NBC/Universal – I want my TV Shows back in iTunes
I’m going to keep this rant short. After watching Steve Jobs announce that every major movie studio is on board with movie rentals, I have one question. Why didn’t I hear anything about NBC/Universal bringing TV Shows back to iTunes? I was hoping that would be Steve’s “One More Thing”, but that phrase never left […]
MacWorld this week (or Christmas in January)
This week is the MacWorld Expo in San Francisco. While I can’t be there in person, you can bet that I’ll be living vicariously through all the bloggers that will be. I’ll keep you posted on the big news daily. What am I looking forward to seeing announced/released this week? Here’s my list: Tasks/ToDo List […]
Happy New Year!
I know, I don’t post for almost a month and a half and then I make a fluff post. Well, I have to apologize to anybody else still subscribed to this blog. 4Q07 was very busy for me on a personal level. I’ll try to pick it back up this week and go for at […]
The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time.
I’ve been trying to give Apple my money all weekend and all I keep getting is an error that says “The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Credit card processesing is temporarily unavailable. You may continue to browse the store. Please try to make your purchase later.”Well, I’ve been trying for […]
iPhone/iPod Touch Update 1.1.2 Available
While iTunes is not seeing the update yet, it is available as a direct download. Of course, I’m at work right now and can’t install it yet, but here is what I’ve read on the blogospehere so far: Tiff Exploit Patched Additional International Keyboards Some users report faster response times on their iPhones iPod Touch […]
